The Curriculum Coordinator — Science provides leadership essential to maintaining a comprehensive program of instruction that is articulated across grade levels, consistent among schools, sensitive to cultural diversity, and supportive of the district's initiative for quality curriculum, instruction, and professional development. Primary responsibilities include providing leadership and support in the development and implementation of a challenging core curriculum and related assessments.
Has knowledge of the Next Generation Science Standards and Missouri Learning Standards.

Experience in conducting staff development in the content area.

Experience in designing and writing curriculum materials (guidelines, resource guides, programs, and activities) in the subject area.
Physical Demands: This job requires that the employee be able to: sit, stand, walk, speak, hear, use hands, fingers, reach with hands and fingers; bend, stoop, lift objects of at least ten pounds. Job requires the employee occasionally to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Visual ability requires mono and color vision, close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
