Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Analyst with expertise in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (BC) ERP post-go-live support and Power BI reporting development. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the ongoing operations of our Dynamics systems, analyzing business data, developing reports, and providing data-driven insights to optimize business performance.

The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of ERP data structures, experience in troubleshooting and optimizing Business Central ERP processes, and the ability to create Power BI dashboards to support business decision-making.


Key Responsibilities

1. Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central ERP Support

- Provide post-go-live support for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (BC) by troubleshooting data-related and reporting issues.

- Assist business users in navigating and optimizing Business Central ERP functionalities.

- Monitor and maintain ERP data integrity, identifying and resolving inconsistencies in financial, inventory, and operational data.

- Work closely with ERP consultants and developers to implement system improvements and enhancements.

- Document ERP workflows, data models, and best practices for end-users.


2. Power BI Reporting & Business Intelligence

- Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports to visualize key business metrics from Business Central ERP.

- Extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from multiple sources, including SQL databases, Business Central API, and Excel files.

- Optimize Power BI queries and DAX calculations for performance and efficiency.

- Work closely with finance, operations, and supply chain teams to understand reporting requirements and provide data insights.


3. Data Analysis & Business Insights

- Conduct data analysis to support business decision-making, including trend analysis, forecasting, and KPI tracking.

- Develop ad-hoc reports and insights for stakeholders across departments.

- Identify data-driven opportunities for process improvements and automation.

- Assist in designing and implementing data governance strategies to ensure data quality and compliance.


4. Cross-functional Collaboration & Training

- Collaborate with business stakeholders, IT teams, and ERP consultants to improve reporting capabilities.

- Provide training and documentation to end-users on using Power BI reports and Business Central ERP.

- Support change management initiatives by assisting teams in adopting new reporting tools and ERP features.


Required Skills & Qualifications


Technical Skills


1. Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (BC)


- Experience in supporting post-go-live ERP operations.

- Understanding of Business Central data tables, schema, and workflows.

- Ability to extract and manipulate ERP data using SQL queries, API calls, or Power Automate.


2. Power BI & Data Visualization

- Expertise in Power BI report development, DAX functions, and Power Query (M language).

- Strong ability to build interactive dashboards and automated reports.

- Experience in data modeling and ETL processes to integrate data from various sources.


3. Data Analysis & SQL

- Proficiency in SQL (T-SQL, MySQL, or Azure SQL) to query ERP databases.

- Strong analytical skills with experience in data transformation and business intelligence tools.

- Experience working with Excel (PivotTables, Power Query, VBA is a plus).


4. Soft Skills

- Problem-solving mindset – Ability to analyze ERP data issues and provide resolutions.

- Detail-oriented and data-driven – Strong ability to work with complex datasets.

- Communication & collaboration – Ability to translate technical data insights for business users.

- Self-motivated & adaptable – Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.


5. Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with Microsoft Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps) is a plus.

- ERP implementation or upgrade experience in Microsoft Dynamics 365 BC.

- Azure Data Services (Azure SQL, Data Factory, Synapse Analytics) knowledge is a plus.

- Experience with business process automation and data governance.
