Actalent Engineering is seeking qualified candidates for a Design Engineering opening with an industrial machine manufacturer that is located in Ephrata, PA. This person will be responsible for working closely with project managers during the conceptual phase of projects and assisting when needed while the project is being quoted. This includes visits to customer sites (local).
Below is a summary of responsibilities for this position:

As a Design Engineer with you will be responsible for interacting with customers and coworkers on the development of products.
•
Work closely with project managers during the conceptual phase of our projects and assist when needed while the project is being quoted. This includes visits to customer sites.
•
After a Purchase Order is awarded for a specific project, the designer would be expected to complete the design and detail the project for release to our shop. Our Designers often work with our vendors to spec materials and purchase them when the time comes.
Additional position details and responsibilities:
•
This candidate will work directly under a project manager
•
Responsible for design of turn-key Industrial systems.
•
Utilize P&ID layouts for system design and electrical/mechanical/man-hour quoting
•
Frequently perform site surveys to gather dimensional data for quoting and/or design purposes.
•
Create detailed fabrication documentation for ductwork, structural steel, concrete foundations, sheet metal and weldment manufacturing drawings
•
Use advanced mathematics to solve complex issues such as hot processes and back- draft hoods as well as elaborate push-pull systems.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
