TIR is actively seeking a dynamic and experienced leader to head our Inspection Division.
This key leadership position will be responsible for overseeing all facets of the Company’s inspection operations—from strategic planning and client management to compliance, team leadership, and operational excellence. The ideal candidate will ensure the consistent delivery of safe, high-quality, and efficient inspection services for pipeline operators, while driving profitability and sustainable growth. This role will also lead sales efforts in collaboration with our Business Development team to expand both new and existing client relationships. Additionally, the position will manage and support all Client Operations Managers (COMs), who oversee inspector recruitment, hiring, supervision, and field operations.
1. Lead, manage, and grow the pipeline inspection business unit, including strategic planning and operational execution.
2. Develop and maintain strong relationships with Industry contacts, key clients, stakeholders and regulatory agencies that are in the best interest of the company.
3. Work closely with clients to manage projects, ensuring they are properly staffed with inspectors that have specific skills, experience, operator qualifications, etc.
4. Set and monitor KPIs for operational efficiency, safety performance, quality, and profitability. Leadership and management of all field inspection operational activities including recruiting, hiring and training.
5. Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial oversight of the business unit. Identify market trends, customer needs, and opportunities for service innovation or expansion.
6. Establish and maintain strong interpersonal relationships with existing and potential clients.
7. Understand market dynamics relating to competitors, best practices, inspector compensation, etc.
8. Build and mentor a high-performing team of project managers, inspectors, engineers, and support staff.
9. Work with the HR & Compliance groups to ensure compliant management and development of employees
10. Work with the Finance group and provide a full and detailed analysis of client performance & profitability, budgeting, forecasting, and planning.
11. Work with the HSE group to drive a culture of safe working practices and no environmental harm.This role is primarily office-based in a climate-controlled environment, with regular travel required to visit clients and field inspection teams. While most duties are performed seated at a computer, the position may involve periods of standing or walking. Occasional field visits will require working outdoors in varying weather conditions. The role demands frequent travel, extended hours at times to meet deadlines or client needs, and the ability to work comfortably with standard office technology.
