We are a family-owned construction and landscape company with 75~ employees, proudly serving Midcoast Maine for over 50 years. We’re currently seeking a skilled and dependable Earthwork Supervisor to lead field operations on a variety of excavation and sitework projects.
This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who thrives in the field; operating equipment, managing a crew, and delivering quality work with efficiency and safety in mind.
What You'll Do:
•
Lead and supervise a small crew on residential and commercial earthwork projects.
•
Operate heavy equipment including excavators, loaders, dozers, etc.
•
Perform and oversee grading, trenching, backfilling, loading, hauling, and site prep.
•
Coordinate site materials and logistics keeping projects on time and within scope.
•
Communicate with project managers, subcontractors, and clients as needed.
•
Monitor safety practices and ensure compliance on-site.
What We're Looking For:
•
3–5+ years of experience operating heavy equipment
•
2–3+ years of supervisor experience
•
Valid driver’s license required (CDL a plus).
•
Strong understanding of excavation, grading, and site prep best practices.
•
Ability to read site plans, grade stakes, and work with survey teams.
•
Self-motivated, team-oriented, and professional in all interactions.
•
Familiarity with GPS grade equipment and rover is a huge plus!
•
Experience with AutoCAD or civil site layout software is a also a huge plus!
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $35.00 - $65.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
