We have an exciting opportunity for an Electrical Designer/ CAD Drafter within our Engineering Team in our Edmonton office. Reporting to the Engineer department manager, the successful candidate will be accountable for creating and designing electrical and controls drawings for control system panel building and system retrofit / upgrades.

The successful candidate will become a crucial part of designing power generation, power management , engine and turbine related projects primarily across Western Canada. Location requires working out of our Edmonton Alberta office full time on a Monday to Friday schedule.

While not a direct requirement knowledge of Diesel/gas engine and power generation control systems would also be desired as your main role would be supporting Woodward controls within Canada. Experience in AutoCad / AutoCad Electric and ability to interpret and design control system upgrade drawings would be a core requirement. Knowledge pertaining to control systems specializing in either steam turbines or gas turbines, experience in either Woodward, GE, Siemens, Solar Turbines or PLC based turbine control systems would be beneficial.
