The E4 – Engineering Supervisor / Senior Engineer / Discipline Lead is a leadership role responsible for directly supervising engineers and technical professionals or leading a specialized engineering discipline. This position requires a highly experienced professional with a minimum of 10 years of licensed engineering experience in nuclear, power, or related industries. The successful candidate will be responsible for complex engineering decisions, technical oversight, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
•Provide direct supervision and leadership to a team of engineers and technical professionals.
•Oversee and approve engineering designs, technical evaluations, and operational strategies.
•Act as a subject matter expert in a specialized engineering discipline (e.g., nuclear systems, power generation, electrical, mechanical, or structural engineering).
•Ensure compliance with regulatory, safety, and industry standards in the nuclear sector.
•Review engineering recommendations, reports, and calculations for accuracy and feasibility.
•Provide guidance on risk assessments, system performance, and engineering best practices.
•Lead technical problem-solving, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement initiatives.
•Collaborate with executive leadership, regulatory authorities, and key stakeholders on high-level engineering decisions.
Requirements:
•Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, or Nuclear) from an accredited institution.
•Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation or eligibility for licensure in New Brunswick, Canada.
•Minimum 10 years of licensed engineering experience in power generation, nuclear, or heavy industrial sectors.
•Proven experience in engineering leadership, supervision, or technical specialization.
•Strong understanding of engineering principles, regulatory compliance, and nuclear safety protocols.
•Proficiency in engineering software tools (AutoCAD, MATLAB, ETAP, or similar).
•Exceptional problem-solving, project management, and communication skills.
•Ability to work on-site at Point Lepreau Nuclear Generating Station and comply with all nuclear safety protocols.
