Experienced Shop Mechanic

Location: Dickinson, ND

Pathfinder is seeking an experienced Shop Mechanic to join our team. This is a full-time position based in Dickinson, ND.

Minimum Requirements:

Experience: Several years as a mechanic (applications without extensive experience will not be considered).

Skills: Proficiency in gas, diesel, and small engine repair; equipment maintenance (loaders, forklifts); trailer repair, including brakes, tires, and electrical.

License: A valid non-commercial driver’s license is required. A Class A driver’s license is preferred but not mandatory.

Driving Record: Must have a valid driver’s license and a clean MVR (Motor Vehicle Record).

*Candidates must pass pre-employment and random drug and alcohol testing.

Key Responsibilities:

Repair and maintain engines, equipment, trailers, and electrical systems.

Perform DOT Inspections to ensure compliance with regulations.

Service and maintain trucks and trailers to ensure optimal performance.

Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical issues using tools such as multimeters.

Fabricate, weld, and solder as needed.

Perform routine vehicle servicing and complete necessary documentation.

Maintain accountability for tools and report damages or additional repair needs.

Ensure a clean, organized work environment.

Requirements:

Formal training or degree in mechanics (preferred) or equivalent trade experience.

Ability to lift 50+ lbs., work long hours, and adapt to minimal supervision.

Basic computer knowledge, including Microsoft Excel.

Valid driver’s license and a clean MVR.

Strong mechanical aptitude and self-motivation.

Excellent teamwork and communication skills.

Schedule Expectations:

This position may require occasional overtime or weekend shifts depending on workload and project deadlines.

Pay & Benefits:

Pay: $31 - $38 per hour to start, depending on experience.

Benefits:
