Join our dynamic team as a Skilled Shop Mechanic, where you will play a crucial role in maintaining and servicing a variety of equipment, including trucks, lawn equipment, heavy machinery, and small engine equipment. You will also be responsible for shop organization, inventory management, and parts procurement. This role offers the opportunity to showcase your problem-solving abilities and commitment to quality. As part of our team, you will also be on call for emergency repairs during snow operations, ensuring our operations run smoothly in all weather conditions.
Responsibilities
Perform adjustments, overhauls, and repairs on various assemblies including brakes, drive shafts, and axels.
Interpret owner, operator, and manufacturer operating manuals and service specifications to complete job tasks.
Diagnose and repair a variety of equipment, including trucks, excavators, heavy trucks, and other construction equipment.
Conduct regular preventative maintenance inspections and repairs on company equipment.
Order required parts from suppliers and maintain inventory.
Ensure cleanliness and organization of the shop and equipment areas.
Assist with employee training on daily inspections, care, and proper use of vehicles and equipment.
Participate in morning huddles and afternoon check-ins with the production team.
Qualifications
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in repair/maintenance of heavy equipment or related machinery.
Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, OneDrive, Outlook) and Google Sheets.
High school diploma or equivalent education.
Mechanic certifications (preferred).
Bilingual in English and Spanish (preferred).
Valid USA driver license for at least 3 years.
