Impact Mobile Repair Inc is Looking for Red Seal Heavy Equipment Mechanics for 14/14 Rotational Schedule within Newfoundland and potentially Eastern Canada.
- Diagnoses, repairs, reconditions, and adjusts equipment as required and complete all paperwork on the troubled equipment to which the individual is assigned.
- Travel to mine and/or heavy construction sites and flexible hours including weekend work, possibility of working rotations at remote customer sites
- Works in a neat, orderly, and safe manner, constantly seeking to improved methods and the safety of others.
- Maintains a positive attitude and role model for the other employees to follow.
- Cares and maintains company machines/equipment and ensure co-workers are doing the same.
- Inspects components to ensure maximum parts are being reused to control repair costs Capable of reading (electrical and hydraulic schematics) and writing technical reports as required.
- Repairs or replaces defective parts on machinery/equipment, disassembles components and properly clean parts.
o Medium work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
o The worker can be subject to inside environmental conditions: Protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature change.
o The worker can be subject to outside environmental conditions: No effective protection from weather.
o The worker can be subject to both environmental conditions: Activities occur inside and outside.
o The worker can be subject to extreme cold: Temperatures below -25 degrees for periods of more than one hour.
o The worker can be subject to extreme heat: Temperatures above 35 degrees for periods of more than one hour.
o The worker can be subject to noise: There is sufficient noise to cause the worker to shout in order to be heard above the ambient noise level
o The worker can be subject to vibration: Exposure to oscillating movements of the extremities of whole body.
o The worker can be subject to hazards: Includes a variety of physical conditions, such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, electrical current, working on scaffolding and high places, exposure to heat and exposure to chemicals.
o The worker can be subject to atmospheric conditions: One or more of the following conditions that affect the respiratory system or the skin: Fumes, odors, dust, mists, gases, or poor ventilation.
o The worker can be subject to oils: There is air and/or skin exposure to oils and other cutting fluids.
o The worker is required to wear respirator where necessary.
o The worker is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions (such as in typical office or administrative work).
- 3+ years Surface Drilling Equipment (ie Smart Rock, Ranger 900I, and Pit Viper Experience)
