The HVAC Service/Start-Up Technician will be responsible for making service calls to multi-family and light commercial properties for repair and maintenance, and work with equipment start-up process for new construction projects.
· Charge HVAC equipment to manufacturers specs using superheat and sub cooling.
· Keep up to date refrigerant and start-up logs.
· Responsible for inputting service notes in field service application.
· Work with various construction trades on multi-family home jobs.
· Communicate daily with jobsite supervisors and subcontractors.
· 3+ years of previous experience in HVAC
· Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills,
· Must have tools, torch and gauges, company provides vacuum pumps, recovery machines for company use.
· Computer skills including ability to use email and App based programs.
· Strong understanding of low voltage wiring and schematics on split systems, 5 ton and below RTUS and mini splits.
· VRF and mini splint training or experience.
Essential Physical Functions: (These will vary based on position)
· Walking: Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly for long distances or moving from one work site to another.
· Medium Work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally.
· Subject to outside environmental conditions including extreme cold and extreme heat for extended periods of time.
