Position Overview:
The IT Technician will support the IT Manager in maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing the company’s IT infrastructure. This role involves hands-on work with both hardware and software systems and requires a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities:
•
Assist in managing and maintaining Linux servers, Microsoft Windows systems, database technologies, and other critical systems.
•
Provide technical support to staff, addressing hardware, software, and network issues.
•
Monitor system performance and implement optimizations or upgrades as needed.
•
Collaborate with the IT Manager to deploy, configure, and secure servers and workstations.
•
Manage Microsoft 365 systems, including email services, MDM policies, and EntraID.
•
Document IT processes, system configurations, and troubleshooting steps.
•
Stay updated with industry best practices and emerging technologies.
Qualifications:
•
Proven experience in IT support or a related role.
•
Strong understanding of Linux environments, Microsoft Windows systems, and database technologies.
•
Familiarity with networking concepts and troubleshooting (e.g., DNS, DHCP, VPN, TCP/UDP).
•
Experience with Microsoft 365 administration, including email management, MDM, and Entra ID.
•
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
•
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Skills:
•
Experience with server virtualization.
•
Knowledge of scripting languages such as Bash or Python.
•
Programming experience is an asset.
