Job Overview:
We are seeking an Acquisition Engineer to join our Biomass Energy company located in Abanda, Alabama. As an Acquisition Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the acquisition of new projects related to biomass energy. Your primary responsibilities will include identifying potential projects, conducting due diligence, negotiating deals, and coordinating with various stakeholders to ensure successful acquisitions. Responsibilities:
- Identify potential acquisition targets in the biomass energy sector, including power plants, facilities, and equipment.
- Conduct thorough due diligence on potential projects, including financial analysis, technical assessments, and regulatory compliance evaluations.
- Negotiate acquisition deals, including terms, pricing, and contractual agreements.
- Collaborate with internal teams, such as engineering, finance, and legal, to ensure smooth transition and integration of acquired assets.
- Coordinate with external stakeholders, including government agencies, consultants, and landowners, to secure necessary permits, licenses, and agreements.
- Stay updated on industry trends and market developments to identify new opportunities for growth and expansion.
- Prepare and present comprehensive reports and presentations to senior management and investors.
- Support post-acquisition activities, such as operational optimization, asset management, and integration planning.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field. Advanced degree is a plus.
- Proven experience in acquisitions, preferably in the energy sector, with a focus on biomass or renewable energy projects.
- Strong knowledge of biomass energy technologies, market dynamics, and regulatory frameworks.
- Excellent financial analysis and valuation skills.
- Experience in conducting due diligence and risk assessments.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with external stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in using relevant software and tools for analysis and reporting.
