This is a non-merit system, employment-at-will, long-term contract position.
The Jr. Cyber Security IT Analyst is an entry-level role that supports the Commission’s cyber security program. The Jr. Cyber Security IT Analyst will support daily cyber security operations and monitor for attacks, intrusions, and unusual, unauthorized, or illegal activity. S/he will play a crucial role in helping WSSC Water protect its digital assets and mitigate cyber risks by using data collected from various cyber defense tools (e.g., IDS alerts, firewalls, network traffic logs) to analyze events that occur within their environments to mitigate threats.
Essential Functions* Work closely with Deputy Director, Cyber Security Services and the team; coordinate with enterprise-wide cyber defense staff to validate network alerts
Other Functions* Participate in the overall cyber security services program development in identifying, protecting, detecting, responding, and recovering activities
