Machinist

JOB TITLE: Machinist DIVISION: Northend Gear and Machine

LOCATION: Fairfield, OH REPORTS TO: Shop Foreman

What You Will Do:

The Machinist will be responsible for producing machined parts from various materials from mechanical drawings. Both manual and

CNC Machines will be utilized in this position.

How You Will Do It:

▪ Operate manual lathes and mills with minimal supervision

▪ Possess the ability to use precision measuring equipment tools to take accurate measurements

▪ Proficiently read and interpret engineering drawings

▪ Demonstrate proficiency in math and analytical abilities (to include but not limited to Algebra, Geometry, and Trigonometry)

▪ Utilize good verbal and written communication skills, able to read, comprehend and create written and verbal instructions in the

English language

▪ Follow all company and common-sense safety policies, while using all required personal protective equipment, when necessary

▪ Contribute to our team environment by anticipating the needs of co-workers, bringing a positive attitude into our culture and showing an eagerness to discover and share new opportunities for our organization

The Position Requires:

▪ Knowledge of CNC G&M Code preferred

▪ Knowledge of Mazatrol preferred

▪ Knowledge of the properties of metal and material required

▪ Three or more years of documented machinist experience required

▪ Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds

▪ Ability to work in a team based environment and achieve common goals

▪ Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to maintain professionalism in the workplace
