JOB DETAILS
This job position will be responsible for the safe daily operations of Lathe and Milling machines that will result in quality output of in-house machined parts to create more efficiency in manufacturing processes.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Be an active participant in Premiere’s Safety Performance program.
Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, or computer-generated reports.
Operate and maintain lathe and milling machine.
Setup machines and develop tooling as necessary.
Inspect parts using relevant measuring equipment including calipers, mics, gage blocks, height gage, comparator.
Review drawings, instructions, blueprints or samples to ensure accurate production.
Take precise measurements for machining on Lathe and Mill.
Recommend design modifications to eliminate machine or system malfunctions.
Monitor production, adjusting feed and other settings as necessary.
Maintain inventory of cutting tools and work holding supplies as needed.
Develop and test models of alternate designs and processing methods to assess feasibility, operating condition effects, possible new applications and necessity of modification. Check output for quality assurance and documents of discards and defects. Confer with engineers or other team members to implement operating procedures, resolve system malfunctions, or provide technical information.
Investigate equipment failures and difficulties to diagnose faulty operation, and to make recommendations to supervisor.
Assist engineering and other team members to solve operating problems specifically with fit and assembly.
Confer with engineering, and R&D personnel to resolve design, research, and testing problems.
Assist with other shop duties including assembly of tools when needed. Maintain a safe and clean workstation.
Adhere to and ensure compliance of all Company policies, rules, procedures and housekeeping standards.
Be involved in the Premiere’s Quality Assurance Program.
Follow the Quality process and procedures stated for the role.
Understand the Quality Policy and your contributions to the quality objectives.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIRED SKILLS
High School Diploma is preferred.
Vocational schooling and/or certification training in the machine industry is preferred. Minimum 5 years’ experience; offshore oil and gas manufacturing experience. Extensive experience can be considered over schooling.
Must have strong understanding of oil and gas-related technical requirements and common/best practices.
General computer skills with competency in Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams, etc.
Strong mathematics skills.
Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills Must be detail oriented, and strong critical-thinking skills.
Excellent time-management skills; must work efficiently in order to produce the required output according to set schedules.
Ability to work independently and with others and effectively communicate at all organizational levels.
