· Machinist Surface and Cylindrical Grinding / Engineering Department
o Part Time: up to 32hrs per week / On-site M-T / Greensboro, NC
o Full Time: 40hrs per week / On-site M-F / Greensboro, NC
o Part Time: $25 - $35 / hour
o Full Time: Up to 73,000 / Annual
· 5+ years of related experience in precision grinding to tolerances less than 1 micron.
· Demonstrated capability to read and interpret complex part mechanical drawings.
· Experience in the setup and operation of Okamoto Surface Grinders, Junker Cylindrical Grinders, Kellenberger Cylindrical Grinders is a definite plus.
· Demonstrated ability to define tooling and fixturing requirements.
· Demonstrated knowledge in the use of mechanical measurement metrology, height gaging, dial indicators, micrometers, and vernier calipers.
· Experience in an ISO 9001:2015 manufacturing environment preferred.
· Experience working in a LEAN manufacturing environment is a plus.
· Acquire job skills and learn all applicable company policies and procedures.
· Adhere strictly to the company's health, safety, and PPE policies.
· Complete assigned tasks while following manufacturing schedules, policies, and procedures.
· Receive instructions on daily work assignments and deadlines.
· Assume responsibility for meeting schedules and ensuring quality of work.
· Act as a champion of the company's Lean and Continuous Improvement programs.
· Maintain time and attendance in accordance with company policies, procedures, and work area schedule.
· Complete work orders on schedule to ensure a constant flow of finished products to support production and customer service levels.
· Escalate situations and conditions that are critical to quality, safety, and on-time delivery.
· Ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks simultaneously.
· Produce quality products in accordance with labor and quality standards.
· Follow all applicable manufacturing procedures and documentation.
· Follow work order activities established via production planning.
· Clean and maintain equipment (including tools and fixtures).
· Participate in the company's LEAN and Continuous Improvement programs.
