Mechanical Design Engineer

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Concept design and part modeling using Creo.

· Stress & life analysis.

· Assess the risk of part nonconformances.

· Review PPAP information.

· Participate in CPPD discussions with suppliers.

· Will work closely with Senior Axle Housing Design Engineers

· Interacts with suppliers, supplier development engineers, and internal process partners such as quality and operations teams.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

· Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with minimum of 5+ years’ relevant experience.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

· Proficient in Creo.

· Understanding of basic geometric tolerancing.

DESIRED SKILLS:

· Proficient in Creo Simulate FEA.

· Experience in steel or iron casting design.

· Practical / hands-on experience.

· Strong mechanical aptitude.

· Eagerness to learn new things.

SOFT SKILLS REQUIRED:

· Strong initiative.

· Effective verbal and written communicator.

· Manage individual tasks to meet deadlines.

· Open to input and feedback from others.

· Work well with other engineers, suppliers, and internal process partners.
