THE POSITION

As a valuable member of the Keyera South Cheecham maintenance team, the Millwright is responsible for carrying out installation, repairs, troubleshooting, maintenance, and upgrading of mechanical and rotating equipment components as required to minimize downtime and maintain or improve efficiency.


This position reports to the South Cheecham Maintenance Lead.

This is a rotational role working a two week in/two week out shift with camp accommodations.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Millwright, you will be accountable for* Carry out scheduled and routine maintenance on equipment, while evaluating the condition and wear of key equipment components.
Conduct diagnostic tests, detect faults, and assess equipment condition using Vibration and Oil Analysis.
Perform scheduled and routine repair/maintenance on mechanical and rotating equipment, including engines, compressors, pumps, conveyors, gearboxes, and valves
Oversee third-party service providers, ensuring safety protocols are followed and costs are monitored and controlled.
Utilizing Maximo CMMS to schedule, plan and track maintenance activities.
Support the SCM group in purchasing maintenance parts and equipment, while managing a critical parts inventory to minimize equipment downtime.
Facilitate ongoing technical liaison with management and staff from various departments including Engineering and Operations.
Develop, update, and ensure compliance with maintenance procedures, while also contributing to the planning and management of the maintenance budget as needed.
Maintain equipment to design specifications including, but not limited to, engines, centrifugal pumps, reciprocating pumps & compressors, fans, gear reducers/increasers, conveyors, and other mechanical equipment (valves, operators, testing tools).
Read and interpret mechanical and architectural drawings and code specifications to determine compliance. Maintain, update, and store site drawings and schematics.

QUALIFICATIONS* Journeyman Millwright Certification from an accredited institution.

5-7 years’ experience in journeyman role.
Previous experience with belt and conveyer systems is considered an asset.
Strong computer skills with proficiency in the Maximo application, or similar Maintenance Software programs.
Self-starter who is able to work independently.
Demonstrated ability to perform successfully in both a work team environment and individually.
Strong interpersonal skills and troubleshooting capabilities.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Valid H2S Alive, WHMIS, TDG, First Aid Certificates an asset.
Must be available to work overtime and callouts as required.
