Outside Sales Representative

Position Summary:

In business for 38 years, Delta Industries prides itself on providing the best in compressed air systems and service. We are seeking a Sales Representative – Industrial Compressors to join our team and drive sales growth in the Central Illinois region. This position is ideal for a motivated, technically minded individual with a background in industrial sales who thrives on building relationships and delivering customer-focused solutions.

As a Sales Representative, you will be responsible for managing existing accounts, identifying new business opportunities, and promoting our line of industrial air compressors and related equipment. You will also be responsible for maintaining current parts and service customers and promoting those areas of our business.

Key Responsibilities:

· Develop and execute a strategic sales plan for the Central Illinois territory

· Maintain and grow relationships with existing customers while prospecting new accounts

· Identify customer needs and recommend tailored compressed air solutions

· Prepare and deliver technical presentations, proposals, and quotations

· Collaborate with internal engineering and service teams to ensure customer satisfaction

· Track sales activity, pipeline, and forecasts using CRM tools

· Participate in industry trade shows and networking events as needed

· Stay up to date with product knowledge and market trends in compressed air systems

Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field – or equivalent experience

· Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to understand technical product specifications

· Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets

· Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM software

· Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills

· Self-starter with strong time management and territory planning skills

· Willingness to travel regularly throughout Central Illinois

Preferred Qualifications:

· Experience selling air compressors, pumps, or other industrial equipment

· Familiarity with compressed air system design and applications

· Background in manufacturing or industrial environments

· 1–3 years of outside sales experience, preferably in industrial equipment or technical sales

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
