The Production Scheduler is responsible for planning and preparing product schedules for the manufacturing facility and pipeline departments. This position is a liaison between engineering, manufacturing, production control, purchasing and other management as related to project orders. The Production Scheduler manages the timely release of production orders and ensure customer satisfaction and stock requirements.
· Assist product manufacturing by managing work order prioritization and tracking, establishing material availability for individual work orders, and routinely auditing the database systems to ensure all required work order statues are actively updated and completed by shop personnel.
· Coordinate with warehouse personnel to ensure timely communication with purchasing personnel, to determine appropriate items for purchase versus in-house fabrication, to meet production budget requirements.
· Provide detailed reports/information regarding work order material shortages, production inefficiencies, estimated work order completion dates, potential problem areas and work order entry discrepancies.
· Analyze and review inventory requirements as related to current order processing to establish inventory parameters.
· Provide material availability information in relation to projected equipment and component requirements.
· Maintain raw material master data in SAP to generate correct raw material purchase requests.
· Able to lift at least 50 pounds.
· Physically capable of performing all duties and responsibilities assigned.
· Physically capable of standing and/or walking continuously for long periods of time if necessary.
· Physically capable of climbing, balance, bend/stoop, and kneel continuously
· Prior experience in purchasing, scheduling and inventory control.
· Ability to perform in a high-pressure working environment.
· Must be able to prioritize tasks based on business needs.
