Job Overview
The HVAC Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing HVAC projects from start to finish. This includes estimating project costs, ordering materials, scheduling jobs, ensuring quality control, and ensuring the correct design and sizing of ducts for installation. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HVAC systems, project management, and team coordination to ensure the successful completion of projects on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
•Estimating: Prepare accurate and timely cost estimates for HVAC projects, including labor, materials, and equipment. Work with clients to understand their needs and provide detailed proposals and quotes.
•Ordering Materials: Manage the procurement of HVAC materials and equipment needed for each project. Ensure all materials are delivered on time and meet the specifications for the project.
•Job Scheduling: Develop and maintain detailed project schedules. Coordinate with field teams, suppliers, and contractors to ensure that work progresses according to the plan.
•Quality Control: Oversee all aspects of quality control during installation and ensure that projects meet company standards and customer expectations. Conduct on-site inspections to verify that work complies with building codes, safety standards, and project specifications.
•Duct Sizing/Design: Perform duct sizing and design calculations to ensure efficient airflow and system performance. Create optimized layouts for new HVAC systems based on system requirements and building specifications.
•Client Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients during the project. Maintain regular communication to provide project updates, address concerns, and ensure satisfaction.
•Budget Management: Monitor project budgets and adjust as necessary to ensure profitability.
•Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of project details, including contracts, change orders, and progress reports.
Qualifications:
•Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, including duct design, sizing, and installation.
•Excellent understanding of construction processes, project estimation, and material procurement.
•Experience with job scheduling and coordinating teams.
•Knowledge of HVAC codes, regulations, and quality control standards.
•Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
•Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
•Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
•Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
•Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Preferred Qualifications:
•Experience with duct design software.
•Familiarity with Energy Star or other energy-efficiency standards.
