SUMMARY

The ideal candidate will have varied experience meeting requirements in an ISO 9001 or TS/IATF 16949 Quality Management system. The Quality Tech receives general work assignments under limited direction and resolves most problems independently. The Quality Dept. and its team members serve to support the Quality Management System in general. More specifically: PPAP activity coordination, creation and submission, procedure creation, adherence to all requirements, and shop floor activities relating to part quality and part inspection.

While performing the duties and responsibilities of this position, the employee is occasionally required to sit. He/she will regularly walk, talk and listen, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl and reach above shoulders and stand, use hands to finger, handle or touch, use foot/feet to operate machine and move from place to place. Specific vision requirements for this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.

During the performance of his/her work duties, the incumbent will regularly lift up to 50 pounds and will frequently lift up to 25 pounds, such as removing materials from shipping containers.

The employee works in a manufacturing environment and is frequently exposed to work near moving mechanical parts and work in high places. He/she is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, outdoor weather conditions and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is loud.

Federal Tool & Engineering is an alcohol and drug free workplace. All temporary and permanent new hires are subject to both physical and drug testing. Typical work hours may vary and the potential for overtime is possible and may be mandatory. Due to production requirements, you may be required to work flexible hours or work on a different shift. Additionally, work requirements will vary, and you must be prepared to perform a variety of tasks as needed to service the needs of our customers.
