Responsibilities:

•

Serve as a primary Quality Assurance resource to production supervisor(s) for problem identification, resolution, loss reporting and continuous improvement.

•

Design and implement methods for process control, process improvement, testing and inspection for the manufacturing processes.

•

Assist in process certification.

•

Assist in floor audits and Operator documentation to validate all work instructions are being followed.

•

Support new product development.

•

Develop, execute and analyze quality-reporting measures.

•

Create and maintain files of Customer Test Certifications for all outgoing products.

•

Compile and review daily reports, which provide information on product conformance to include statistical summaries, 24 Hour QA Report, Hold List, & Quality Alerts.

•

Maintain ECAR & SCAR systems. Ensure follow up and timely closure.

•

Report to management on quality issues, trends and losses.

•

Review suppliers purchase orders and establish supplier quality requirements.

•

Participate in internal and external quality audits, process audits, 5S activities.

•

Interface with supplier quality representatives concerning problems with quality assurance and assure that effective corrective action is implemented.

•

Ensure QA Technicians & Inspectors are trained and training records up to date.

•

Support the Quality Management Systems

Essential Skills:

•

Broad knowledge of theory and principles of statistics and statistical process control.

•

Strong computer skills including QA applications, word processing, spreadsheets and databases.

•

Diverse knowledge of inspection and control methods, techniques and documentation.

•

Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).

•

Must be able to use micrometers and calipers

•

Understanding of quality control procedures and processes

•

Analytical skills

•

Attention to detail

•

Teamwork and communication skills

•

Must be able to bend, lift, push, pull 50+ as needed

Education and Experience:

•

Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, manufacturing engineering or equivalent

•

5+ years Quality industrial experience; ISO 9001 experience, and Lead Auditor experience or willing to become ISO Lead Auditor
