Job Summary:
Under general supervision, the Analyst II, Technical Support will configure and install moderately complex software for IT users on desktops and mobile devices. The role involves providing intermediate technical support (Tier 2) for software and hardware, troubleshooting issues, and escalating them as necessary for resolution.
Duties and Responsibilities:
•Handle complex help desk tickets escalated from IT Service Center (ITSC).
•Provide functional support for applications, isolating and escalating issues as needed.
•Reproduce incidents to determine failure points and correct invalid data within databases via DB scripts.
•Facilitate resolution of Tier 3 tickets and collaborate with external vendors.
•Create and update Support and User Guides.
•Provide post-development support, including client installations.
•Generate and analyze management ticket reports (e.g., Pareto Reports).
•Assist in the development and modification of system/application monitors.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
Required:
•Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, MIS, or related field.
•Minimum of 3 years of related experience.
•OR 4 additional years of experience in lieu of a degree.
Preferred:
•Bachelor's Degree and 3 years of related experience.
Certifications (Preferred):
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
•Intermediate knowledge of SQL queries and scripting.
•Ability to document user, support, and maintenance procedures.
•Strong customer service skills, including conflict resolution.
•Effective communication skills with staff, management, and end users.
•Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
•Ability to troubleshoot PC hardware and software issues.
•General knowledge of PC systems and software functionality.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
•Experience with Remedy Action Request System (Help Desk System).
•Hardware and software support of onboard computing systems.
•Knowledge of PC remote access functions.
•Familiarity with various databases, applications, and technologies.
Work Environment and Essential Functions:
•Extensive use of motor coordination with finger dexterity (e.g., keyboarding, machine operation).
•Occasional lifting of objects weighing less than 30 pounds.
•Minimal exposure to occupational hazards (e.g., cuts, burns, toxic chemicals).
•Primarily an office setting with rare exposure to dirt, odors, noise, or weather extremes.

Pay: $30.36 - $40.00 per hour
