Summit Metals is looking for a Day and a Night Shift Shipping Helper to join our growing team.
The helper will help in all aspects of shipping, including loading trucks, wrapping pallets, counting parts, and any other duties that the Shipping Supervisor give them.
•
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
•
Reports to work on time with appropriate attire, (steel toe boots, safety glasses, ear plugs, and gloves).
•
Operates equipment safely and uses safe work habits while performing his job function.
•
Wrapping pallets
•
Counting parts to verify paperwork.
•
Maintains a clean work area.
•
Loads materials onto the truck when required.
•
Reads prints and identifies products and process completions.
•
Communicates with Operations manager pertaining to completed product that is coming out of Production that is ready to go to Shipping.
•
Other duties as required
•
Qualifications:
•
Must be able to understand drawings
•
Must have strong organizational skills
•
Must be able to operate a forklift
•
Must be able to lift 50 Lbs.
•
Must be able to stand up to 90% of the day.
•
Must be able to work in unheated or non-air conditioned areas.
