Integral member of the tax department. Responsible for filing assigned tax returns, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and compliance.
· Responsible for filing assigned Motor Fuel Tax returns and Sales & Use Tax returns accurately and timely
· Responsible for filing assigned Personal Property Tax returns
· Analyze tax returns for completeness, accuracy, and compliance
· Other duties and projects as assigned
· Understanding of and the ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles
· Knowledge of tax regulations and ability to correctly prepare tax reports
· Ability to operate in fast-paced and dynamic work environment

Bachelor or Associate degree in Accounting or related field or equivalent tax experience. Experience with multiple software formats and ability to use it to complete tasks. Experience using Microsoft Excel to manage large amounts of data. Experience working in teams to complete projects.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel or crouch. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Noise level in the work environment is normally moderate but occasionally high. Typically the duties are performed indoors, during the day and some overtime may be required. Occasional travel may be required.
