DESCRIPTION
The Technical Service Representative is the liaison between Aegis customers and the Aegis sales and laboratory staff.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The responsibilities of the Technical Service Representative include, but are not limited to:
•
Writing proposals and writing technical reports
•
Participating in customer meetings
•
Training new hires in technical topics
•
Visiting field locations to collect samples
•
Conducting analyses in the laboratory and at field locations
•
Making product recommendations
•
Troubleshooting issues commonly found in the oilfield with production, pipelines, and other systems associated with asset integrity (corrosion)
•
Flow assurance (scale, paraffin, hydrates, etc.)
•
Phase separation (demulsification, water clarification, and water quality)
•
Interacting with specified customers
SKILL REQUIREMENTS
•
Knowledge of Aegis products
•
Knowledge of oilfield hardware and production systems
•
Understanding of chemical principles
•
Ability to explain technical findings to customers
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
A bachelor’s degree in chemistry, engineering, or a related science or, five years of relevant oilfield laboratory experience.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
· Requires the ability to sit for potentially long periods of time throughout the workday.
· Occasional filing and lifting up to 20 lbs.
TRAVEL
25% as required to various regional//area offices
