Prime Metals is looking for a motivated welder to join our team in Kitchener. It will be full time, straight shifts, Monday to Friday.


Requirements:

· Operate manual or semi-automatic, fully automated welding equipment. Operate previously set-up welding machines to fabricate or repair metal parts and products; Operate hoisting and lifting equipment: select and install torches, torch tips and filler rods: use of grinders, wire wheels and various tools to prepare surfaces for welding.

· Read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings specifications, manuals, and processes; Examine welds and ensure that they meet standards and/or specifications.

-Repetitive tasks; Handling heavy loads; Manual dexterity; Attention to detail; Hand-eye co-ordination; Standing for extended periods.


· Physically able to lift 50 lbs.


· A clean driver’s abstract (G License)

This is a shop position, however on occasion there might some on-site work required.


Starting at $28.00/hr

Secondary School (preferred)


Experience:
