Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and eager Apprentice Electrician to join our team. This entry-level position is ideal for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in the electrical trade while working under the guidance of experienced electricians. The Apprentice Electrician will assist in various electrical tasks on commercial and industrial construction sites, learning essential skills and techniques that will contribute to their professional development.
Duties
•
Assist licensed electricians in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in commercial and industrial settings.
•
Read and interpret electrical schematics and blueprints to understand project requirements.
•
Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to perform electrical tasks.
•
Learn to operate testing equipment such as ohmmeters and voltmeters to troubleshoot electrical issues.
•
Support the team in high voltage and low voltage installations, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
•
Participate in frame carpentry as needed for electrical installations.
•
Maintain a clean and organized work area on construction sites, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
Requirements
•
Basic knowledge of electrical systems, including experience as a commercial or industrial electrician is a plus.
•
Familiarity with reading schematics and blueprints is preferred.
•
Ability to use hand tools effectively and safely.
•
Willingness to learn about high voltage and low voltage systems.
•
Strong work ethic, reliability, and ability to work well in a team environment.
•
Must be able to follow instructions accurately and demonstrate attention to detail.
•
Previous experience on construction sites is advantageous but not mandatory.
