Municipal Valve & Equipment is hiring an Assistant Project Manager. This position will require working on-site in our Humble, TX office.

What you will do:

•

Manage all aspects of a project, from start to finish, so that it is completed on time and within budget.

•

Establish and maintain effective sales relationships with major accounts/customers.

•

Monitor progress and performance against the project plan; resolve operational problems and minimize delays.

•

Work directly with partners and clients to determine project scope, specifications, requirements and ultimately prepare and send quotes.

•

Responsible for ensuring the timely delivery of products and notifying customers if there will be any delays.

•

Provide a high level of assistance to outside sales representatives and sales managers to ensure projects are carried out according to plan.

•

Lead the strategic planning and execution of critical sales projects, from initiation to closure, ensuring alignment with overall business goals.

•

Monitor project progress and proactively identify potential roadblocks, implementing corrective actions and strategies to maintain project momentum.

•

Analyze project performance metrics and provide regular reports to leadership, offering insights into project health and areas for improvement.

•

Drive client engagement and relationship management during project lifecycles, ensuring client satisfaction and effective communication.

•

Help develop and refine project management processes, best practices, and tools to enhance project efficiency.

•

Foster a collaborative and innovative team environment that encourages idea sharing, problem-solving, and continuous learning.

•

Serve as a subject matter expert on project management methodologies, sharing knowledge and expertise with team members and stakeholders.

Required Background/ Experience:

•

3+ years of sales and project management experience

•

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, SharePoint, Teams etc.)

•

Detail-orientated with a proven ability to organize and prioritize work

Desired Background/ Experience:

•

Prior sales or project management experience in the water/ wastewater industry preferred

•

Product knowledge of water/wastewater valve, actuators, and motor operators preferred
