Job Type : Full-Time +, Non-Exempt


Pay : Competitive, Hourly


Essential Functions & Responsibilities

Design and Documentation
Computer Aided Drafting of Industrial Control Panels
Guided design development of Point-to-Point wiring diagrams
Utilize basic engineering principles and practical design solutions
Assist in preparing technical documentation, including control system diagrams, functional specifications, network diagrams, process diagrams and test reports.
Transform initial rough system designs using computer aided drafting (CAD) into working documents
Control Panel Fabrication
Assist with shipping and receiving equipment and controls panels
Assembly of small to mid-size electrical control panels to include drilling, mounting, and wiring
Assist in initial equipment programming and power-on-testing
Assist in quality control efforts
Systems Integration
Support Systems Integrators in Automation and User Interface Development
SCADA Server and Workstations Setups
Network Infrastructure Setup
Assist in the development and review of custom designs and automation sequences
Collaboration
Work with clients, managers, and engineers to coordinate project designs
Attend job meetings & coordinate activities as required
Complete and submit weekly paperwork (e.g., Timesheets, Expense Reports, etc.)
Participate in company training sessions and internal workshops to improve technical knowledge in control engineering and automation.


Minimum Qualifications

Ability to work accurately, with attention to detail.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and interact with cross-functional teams.
Strong written and verbal communication skills to convey technical concepts effectively.
Outstanding initiative, well-organized and strong sense of responsibility.
Proficient with Microsoft Office applications
Python Programming or similar languages
IEC61131-3 Industrial Programming Languages
PC/Server OS installation / Software installation / PC troubleshooting
Linux Shell / Windows PowerShell skills
Web development skills
Microcontroller programming
Experience with AutoCAD and/or REVIT is an advantage


Education & Experience

Current student pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering, EMET / Mechatronics, EET, Control Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
Coursework in Finite State Automata or Computer Algorithms
Coursework or Skills in Ethernet Networking / IP Networks.
Coursework in Industrial Controls, Controls Engineering, or Mechatronics.
Coursework or knowledge of Analog or Digital control circuits.


License & Certifications

Driver's License Preferred, but not required.


Travel

Little to no travel is expected for this position.


Physical Requirements

The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
