This position provides strategic direction and leadership for the Enterprise Application Solutions function within GSOC Shared Services IT which supports GSOC, GTC, and OPC, ensuring customer satisfaction with the services provided. Drives the strategic planning, execution, and management of our enterprise applications portfolio. This portfolio includes Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Financial/Budget, Work Management, Content Management, Data Analytics, Custom Software Development, among other software application functions that enable the business to operate more efficiently and effectively through the use of technology. Works across business areas to develop and implement an operational plan for the application portfolio that supports the goals and vision of the business who depend on Shared Services IT for technology support.
Ensures staff compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, industry standards, corporate policies, guidelines and procedures, including but not limited to, SOX, RUS, OSHA, NERC, FERC and ITS requirements. Promotes an environment of compliance and continuous improvement to meet the Corporation's goals and objectives.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, IT, Engineering, or related field.
Experience: 12 years of experience in Enterprise Applications, Application Development, Data Analytics, Business Analyst, IT, Technology, at least 5 years of which in a management or leadership role.
Equivalent Experience: Associate's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, IT, Engineering, or related field with at least 18 years of experience with Enterprise Applications, Application Development, Data Analytics, Business Analyst, IT, Technology, at least 10 years of which in a management or leadership role.
Specialized Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills. Proven ability to quickly adapt and lead cross-functional/organizational change with confidence. Demonstrated ability to make decisions using a risk framework with incomplete information and a bias toward action. Excellent problem solver coupled with a proven ability to lead groups involved in fast paced, high-pressure environments.
Unusual Hours: Provides emergency coverage for technology issues. Responsive to after hours calls, texts, messages, emails, etc. relating to technology and business emergencies.
