Met Weld International is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Document Control SpecialistProduction Planner to join our manufacturing team. This dual-role position is responsible for managing commercial and technical documents for the company and assisting with production planning to optimize workflow efficiency. The ideal candidate will have experience in document management and production scheduling within a manufacturing environment.
The document control responsibilities will include collecting, maintaining and distributing documents necessary to define product configurations (customer requirements and engineering output), and involvement with quality/documentation processes that ensure conformance to MWI requirements. The position in this role will also develop and maintain a comprehensive filing system and computer database for all documents to be retained in the document control system; manages the operation of the document control system to ensure that authorized users have the latest revision of appropriate documentation in a timely manner.
The production planner responsibilities will include creating and maintaining production schedules to help ensure organizational goals and customer delivery deadlines are met. This role requires close coordination with Sales, Engineering, Manufacturing, Purchasing, and Quality teams to balance customer demands, operational constraints, and resource availability. Key responsibilities include daily monitoring of customer orders, delivery change requests, equipment performance, workforce capabilities, and inventory levels to develop actionable and efficient production schedules. This position involves collaboration across all levels of the organization.
