We are looking for an experienced and motivated individual to fill the position of Drilling Engineer in our Worldwide Drilling and Completions organization based in Houston, Texas.


Essential Duties

Working in the Worldwide Drilling and Completions group as Drilling Engineer (DE), develop drilling programs and well costs, develop procedure, support HSE and D&C operations, and support procurement of D&C related projects
Support domestic, international, unconventional, conventional, geothermal, and carbon sequestration Drilling & Completions (D&C) related projects.
Develop and implement comprehensive knowledge of WWDC and Business Unit D&C standards, procedures, and guidelines.
Lead domestic, international and federal sourcing related to D&C projects.
Identify opportunities to leverage technologies and improve well performance and well cost.
Mentor Drilling and Completions Engineers.
Field visits to ensure appropriate planning, engineering and execution
Represent WWDC in specified industry drilling and completions related matters.


Qualifications

Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Petroleum or Mechanical Engineering preferred.
Minimum of 15 years of relevant experience
Minimum 2 years of unconventional well drilling engineering.
Knowledgeable of all aspects of drilling engineering, well design, operations, and geology for drilling, logistics, and contractor management for drilling and completions operations.
Excellent organizing and communication skills.
Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize workload
Excellent working relationship with operational, geoscience, and supply chain teams.
Ability to objectively manage competing interests and objectives.
Demonstrated visionary and technical innovator.
Ability to write SPE-paper quality technical reports and documents
