Colonial Terminals, Inc. (CTI) is an industry leader in handling and storing liquid and dry bulk products. We own and operate the largest, independent, liquid and dry bulk storage facilities with breakbulk capability in the Southeastern United States.
Key Responsibilities
•Maintain & Troubleshoot SCADA Systems: Ensure seamless terminal operations by diagnosing and resolving issues within Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems.
•PLC & Industrial Network Maintenance: Troubleshoot and repair TCP/IP and Modbus networks for PLCs and instrumentation, including flow meters, motor controllers, and remote IO racks.
•Electrical & Instrumentation Upkeep: Perform inspections, certifications, and calibrations of industrial automation equipment such as RADAR sensors, VFDs, motor starter protection relays, and flow control valves.
•Industrial Networking Support: Maintain and troubleshoot fiber networks, Stratix switches, patch panels, and Cat5/6 terminations.
•Control System Expansion & Design: Participate in designing I&E control system replacements and upgrades, ensuring efficient automation solutions.
•Security & Access System Management: Oversee and maintain automated gate openers, biometric scanning systems, and CCTV network surveillance systems.
Key Technologies & Tools
•Industrial Automation: SCADA, PLCs (Allen-Bradley ControlLogix, PLC5, PLC 500), FactoryTalk, TankMaster, Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs).
•Networking & Instrumentation: TCP/IP, Modbus, Fiber Optics, Stratix Switches, Patch Panels, Flow Meters (Coriolis, vortex, turbine), RADAR sensors.
•Safety & Compliance: NFPA 70E, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), hazardous area classifications (Class I, Div 1 & 2).
•Software & Documentation: MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), P&ID diagrams, electrical schematics.
Minimum Qualifications
•Experience: Minimum of 5-10 years in electrical & instrumentation controls OR a related technical degree with equivalent experience.
•Certifications Preferred: Training in industrial automation, electrical safety (NFPA 70E), or process control technology.
•Technical Expertise: Hands-on experience troubleshooting PLC-based control systems, SCADA networks, and industrial automation equipment.
•Industry Background: Experience in an industrial facility handling hazardous liquids (flammables, corrosives) is preferred.
Physical Requirements & Work Environment
•Regularly required to sit, stand, and walk, with occasional lifting up to 40 lbs.
•Travel up to 10% may be required.
•Must meet U.S. work eligibility requirements.
