Job Requirements – Oil & Gas HSE Professional
Education & Certifications
•Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field (preferred)
•Professional certifications (preferred or required depending on seniority), such as:
•OSHA 30-hour or 40-hour certification
•Certified Safety Professional (CSP)
•Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH)
Experience
•Minimum of 3–5 years of HSE experience in the oil & gas industry (drilling, upstream, midstream, or downstream)
•Proven experience conducting risk assessments, safety audits, and incident investigations
•Familiarity with environmental compliance reporting (e.g., EPA, DOT, state regulations)
Skills & Knowledge
•In-depth knowledge of OSHA, EPA, DOT, and other relevant federal and state regulations
•Strong understanding of safety management systems (SMS), Job Safety Analysis (JSA), and Permit to Work (PTW) systems
•Ability to develop and deliver HSE training programs
•Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
Other Requirements
•Strong communication and interpersonal skills
•Ability to work independently and collaboratively in high-risk environments
•Willingness to travel to field sites (may include remote locations)
•Physical ability to conduct field inspections in challenging conditions (climbing ladders, uneven ground, PPE use)

Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
