Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Lead Carpenter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various carpentry tasks, including remodeling and restoration projects. As a Lead Carpenter, you will be responsible for overseeing carpentry work, ensuring quality craftsmanship, and leading a team of carpenters on-site.

Responsibilities

•

Supervise and coordinate carpentry projects from start to finish, ensuring adherence to project timelines and specifications.

•

Perform various carpentry tasks

•

Lead a team of carpenters, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure high-quality workmanship.

•

Conduct site assessments to determine project requirements and develop effective work plans.

•

Ensure all work is completed in compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.

•

Collaborate with other tradespeople and contractors to ensure seamless project execution.

•

Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition and ensure proper usage among team members.

•

Assist in remodeling structures as needed within the remodel industry.

•

Experience in framing to finish in new construction and remodeling

Qualifications

•

Proven experience as a carpenter with a strong portfolio of completed projects.

•

Proficiency in using power tools and hand tools safely and effectively.

•

Knowledge of remodeling techniques and best practices within the restoration industry.

•

Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately.

•

Strong attention to detail with an emphasis on quality craftsmanship.

•

Excellent communication skills and ability to lead a team effectively.

•

Familiarity with plumb techniques and best practices for structural integrity is preferred.

•

A maintenance person background is advantageous for addressing diverse project needs.

•

Must have reliable transportation

•

Clean driving record

•

Ability to be on site daily on Vashon Island. We offer commuting allowance for off island employees.
