Job Summary:

As a Mechanical Designer, you will be responsible for supporting Lead Engineers with a combination of drafting, documentation, and design of mechanical systems for National Carwash Solutions equipment. This role may also recommend design changes that would create or improve product and/or processes to streamline the manufacturing of products. The Mechanical Designer must display NCS Solutions’ core ideology and values while performing job duties.

Job Duties:

•

Participate in mechanical product design including development of product specification, material selection, CAD design, and detailed product drawings.

•

Maintaining CAD, product data management, ERP/MRP

•

Assist with designing and testing products and prototypes to achieve desired expectations.

•

Document designs for product support and efficient development of successive product generations.

•

Generates bill of materials (BOMs) for new products and/or sub-assemblies or options as well as maintain existing BOMs

•

Interface with other company departments to ensure effective communications of new product development and continuing engineering activities.

•

Identify opportunities for product improvements and/or cost reductions.

•

Proficient in design and disciplined as far as practicing drafting standards.

•

Performs other job-related duties and special projects as required.

Qualifications:

•

Associate degree in Mechanical Design or Mechanical Engineering.

•

5 years’ of product design experience in a small to medium manufacturing environment.

•

Demonstrated experience with 3D CAD packages. Solidworks experience is preferred.

•

Knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).

•

Must have ability to interpret specifications, recommend design improvements, and execute process improvements.

•

Must work effectively under pressure, be highly motivated exercise good judgement and maintain confidentiality.

•

Excellent communication, leadership, problem solving, organizational, training, and PC skills are required.
