This posting is for all Mechanical and Electrical Engineering student positions in Superior, WI. After submitting your application, if you are selected to move forward in the process, you will receive a screening questionnaire where you can indicate your preferences.


Possible placement includes:

Reliability Engineering (Mechanical)
Project Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical)

What you’ll do

Responsibilities may vary depending on the specific position assigned, but they may include:


Reliability Engineering (Rotating and Fixed Equipment)

Assist with joint torquing program
Assist with planning for 2028 Refinery Turn Around
Help with smaller maintenance projects and capital projects
Assist the Engineers in the field
Data collection, update data sheets, print creation, and review
Participate in Preventative Maintenance Program work such as PM updates
Participate in the Predictive Maintenance Program work such as vibration analysis, lubrication program


Project Engineering

Assist project engineers and other discipline engineers to ensure consistency in the execution of project management activities
Help create and scope out potential projects to improve output
Help to coordinate civil engineering and design projects through execution, planning, and interface stages
Ensure that activities are completed on schedule and within budget
Assist the refinery operations to understand performance and production data


Who you are

Our ideal candidate will have the following minimum qualifications:

Legally authorized to work in the U.S. full-time for the duration of your work term and able to produce documentation upon request (e.g. passport, Social Security, etc.)
Available to begin work on or around September 8th, 2025
As this position requires the operation of a motor vehicle, a valid U.S. driver's license is required
Previous experience is considered an asset
Strong attitude for carrying out all work in a safe, cautious manner while following safe work practices
Strong verbal and written communication skills

Education

Must be enrolled in an Undergraduate Program studying Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related disciplines at an accredited post-secondary institution at the time of intended work term and returning to full-time studies after the work term OR registered in an accredited post-secondary co-op or internship program for the duration of the work term
Candidates currently enrolled in either a Masters or Ph.D. program at an accredited post-secondary institution may also be considered
New graduates are not eligible for student opportunities


Working Conditions

May include frequency of travel, sitting, standing, computer work, lifting, driving, working at site, etc.

Safety Sensitive

This may be a safety-sensitive role, and you will be required to wear all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) during required work hours. Furthermore, you will also be required to pass the pre-employment medical and drug/alcohol assessment requirements

Relocation

Students moving for their work term may be eligible to receive a lump sum payment to assist with relocation expenses
