Responsible to the charge nurse or designated representative for performing assigned duties and responsibilities. All nurses are assigned to a specific service. This role is vital to ensuring quality patient care. Each service should be well organized and ensure specialty instrumentation and information are readily available and shared with other OR staff. Plans and provide nursing care that will be consistent with departmental policies and procedures and with current professional standards and practices. Maintains accurate nursing care plans, reports and clinical records. Provides patient and family teaching when appropriate.
Qualifications:
Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing is required. Current license to practice in New York State. Previous acute care experience desirable. Must live within 30 minutes for on-call, or have arrangements when on call.
Salary: $35.27-$47.73, DOE; $15,000 Sign-on bonus for full-time; pro-rated for part-time
