About This Job

Sunrise Mechanical is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Payroll/HR Specialist to join our team. The ideal Payroll/HR Specialist will play a crucial role in managing and processing payroll, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations and maintaining accurate financial records. This position requires proficiency in accounting software and a strong understanding of payroll processes.

REQUIREMENTS:

•

CONFIDENTIALITY and professional behavior is a MUST

•

Outstanding communication (verbal and written)

•

2-5 years work payroll experience in an office setting

•

Proven experience as a Payroll Specialist or similar role

•

Strong EXCEL capabilities

•

Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills

•

Ability to multi-task and meet required deadlines

•

Experience with SAGE preferred

•

Good math (10 key by touch) and analytical skills

•

Spanish speaking is a plus

RESPONSIBILITIES: (including yet not limited to)

•

Process weekly payroll, ensuring timely and accurate payment to employees

•

Ensure employee paychecks are processed and delivered on time

•

Maintain employee records, including hours worked, deductions, and benefits administration

•

Utilize SAGE software to manage payroll data and generate reports as needed

•

Conduct data entry tasks related to payroll processing and maintain meticulous records

•

Work with department leaders to identify issues for resolution

•

Collect and Analyze information in resolving any payroll discrepancies

•

Manage payroll and other human resource functions

•

Participate in new employee onboarding and termination paperwork/final checks

•

Maintain employee tax forms (W-4) and I-9 documents

•

Create and provide reports as requested/needed

•

Interact with staff in a calm, kind, courteous and professional manner

•

Other payroll/human resources duties as needed

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $26.00 per hour
