We look for solid hard working individuals to become Professional Pest Management Service Technicians. This position offers the satisfaction of offering great customer service without being tied to a desk. Experience a plus. We include a fully paid comprehensive training program. Your skills development will include company supported career advancement and state licensing. Qualified candidates must be self organized; have good communication and excellent observation and documentation skills; and be able to work cooperatively with customers at all levels including top management.

About Hollenbeck:

Hollenbeck has been providing expert pest control services to homeowners and businesses for generations. We offer customized, effective and fast pest control solutions which include fumigation, bed bug control, termite control and all provided by our local office based in New Windsor NY. This position is Monday through Friday, hours will vary during initial training period. Position does require weekend work and On-call schedule.

Qualification requirements:

Mandatory rotating on-call schedule for off-hours and weekends

•

Use and maintain proper inventory of tools, specialized equipment, and materials in company vehicles. Always maintain a professional, clean cut image that is friendly, pleasant, and courteous when dealing with customers

•

Visually inspecting and treating for pest, pest harborage, and pest entries

•

Building and maintaining good customer relations

•

Maintaining high service standards at all times on all accounts

•

Have worked 3 or more years in jobs dealing with the public

•

Participation in group meetings and account reviews

•

Completion of independent and group on-going training

•

Possess the physical ability to setup, use and work off of various step ladders and extension ladders

Job Requirements/Duties include:

•

Work independently and in teams

•

Able to set up, use, work off of various extension ladder

•

Be comfortable working with insects and various animals in a variety of environmental conditions and confined spaces, bending/lifting as needed

•

Be able to read and understand product labels printed in English. The Label is the LAW.

•

Maintain and service all route scheduled customers

•

Maintain clear communication with office staff throughout the day

•

Insure customer satisfaction and handle issues and complaints accordingly and taking personal initiative and responsibility for correcting pest problems

•

Meet daily/monthly production quotas

•

Maintain vehicle and all equipment organized at all times

•

Possess a valid driving record that meets Company standards and always maintain a safe driving record

•

Satisfactorily complete initial technical training and State Licensing requirements

•

Knowledge of federal, state and local regulations for technician license

•

Knowledge regarding chemical usage and reporting

•

Pass an extensive pre-employment drug screen, motor vehicle, and background check

•

Have the ability to perform effectively with minimal direction or continuous supervision

•

Inspect buildings and the surrounding environment for signs of pest infestation or pests

•

Determine the type of treatment needed to eliminate the pests

•

Take the required measurement of the area that needs treatment

•

Use different pest control methods such as setting of traps or baits to remove or kill pests

•

Apply pesticide safely in buildings or structures and the surrounding environment

•

Design and carry out a pest management plan

•

Drive trucks equipped with power spraying equipment

•

Create barriers to prevent pests from entering a building and create effective pest control measures to prevent pest infestation.

•

Must have a valid New York State License and reside within 30 minutes from office location

Physical Requirements

•

Bend, lift, pick-up/down 50+ pounds

•

Stand/bend/kneel throughout shift

•

Climb up and down a stepstool, stepladder, and ladder

•

Use hands, wrists, fingers and arms for duration of shift

•

Must possess physical stamina and be able to withstand harsh conditions as the nature of the job requires standing for a long period of time and working in an uncomfortable environment

•

Must be detailed oriented and be able to follow detailed instructions in applying pesticide to avoid harm to the client and self.

•

Must possess good customer service skills and be customer focused

•

Strong ability to keep good records of hours worked, chemicals used, and payment collected

•

Must have relevant training and/or experience in a similar role.

•

Must possess a team spirit and be able to work well in a team environment.

•

Must be able to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues, and possess good interpersonal skills

Education/Experience:

•

High school diploma, basic math, reading, and writing skills, must be able to work extended hours, late night and weekends as needed.
