Job Summary:

Sark Wire Corporation is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Purchasing Coordinator to support our purchasing and procurement operations. This role ensures the timely and cost-effective acquisition of materials, equipment, and services while maintaining accurate records, coordinating with vendors, and supporting internal departments with procurement-related needs.

Key Responsibilities:

•

Process purchase requests and convert them into purchase orders

•

Place orders for approved purchase requests

•

Gather quotes from vendors as requested

•

Negotiate pricing and terms with vendors when applicable

•

Establish and maintain strong, positive vendor relationships

•

Collaborate with the warehouse team to ensure accurate inventory entries

•

Create purchase orders for invoices requiring processing

Qualifications and Requirements:

•

High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field preferred

•

Minimum of 2 years of purchasing/procurement experience, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment

•

Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook

•

Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems preferred

•

Strong organizational, time-management, and multitasking skills

•

High attention to detail and accuracy

•

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

•

Familiarity with supply chain procedures and vendor management best practices

Work Environment:

•

Work is conducted in a plant environment that is typically loud and may involve exposure to moving mechanical parts

•

Must adhere to all safety protocols and wear PPE as required

•

Occasional exposure to vibration, noise, and environmental hazards

•
