Job Overview: We are searching for a dedicated, self-driven, and reliable Shop Lead who thrives in a high-paced shop environment. The Shop Lead will oversee the daily activities of the shop, providing direction to the team while maintaining flexibility to meet new project deadlines. The role requires a hands-on approach, utilizing equipment such as welders, plasma cutters, press brakes, and robotic manufacturing tools. A commitment to safety and the ability to collaborate within a team are key for success.
Key Responsibilities:
•Leadership & Team Guidance: Direct and manage shop operations while providing leadership to the team, ensuring tasks are completed on time and to the highest standard.
•Shop Organization: Maintain an organized and clean shop environment to ensure a safe and efficient workspace.
•Machine Operation: Operate press brakes, robotic manufacturing tools, and other equipment to produce high-quality products.
•Welding & Metal Work: Perform welding of all types (MIG, TIG, Stick) as needed for various projects.
•Field Work: In some cases, travel to surrounding states to complete field welding and rebuild projects. (Travel may require multi-day trips).
•Prep & Production Support: Assist with part preparation for robotic manufacturing and press brake projects.
•Grinding & Minor Painting: Perform grinding, metal work, and minor painting as part of the production process.
•Flexibility: Be flexible and adaptable, helping with various projects across the shop to ensure Raptor's success.
Qualifications:
•Experience: 2-4 years of welding experience, including a variety of welding types (MIG, TIG, Stick).
•Familiarity with Shop Environments: Experience in a warehouse or shop environment with an understanding of production tools and processes.
•Clean Driving Record: A valid driver’s license and clean driving record are required for potential travel.
•Team-Oriented: Ability to seamlessly work within a team environment and lead by example.
•Willingness to Travel: Ability to travel for multi-day field welding projects (within Utah and surrounding states).
•CDL (Preferred): A Commercial Driver’s License is a plus but not required.
