We seek an experienced and dedicated Technical Training Specialist to develop, manage, and continuously improve our nationwide training program for field service technicians and subcontractors. This role will be based at our HQ but will require travel to field locations nationwide for on-location training, evaluations, and support. The Trainer will ensure our field service teams are well-prepared with the knowledge and technical expertise needed to perform effective maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs of our generators. This role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to align training programs with evolving product offerings and industry standards.
+ Bachelor's degree in a technical field or related discipline, related talent industry experience. + Proven experience in a similar role, such as technical training, service management, or a field service leadership position. + 3+ years of experience in training and curriculum development, ideally within a technical field or IoT devices. + Knowledge of generators or related electrical and mechanical systems, with hands-on experience in troubleshooting and maintenance. + Familiarity with learning management systems (LMS) and content development tools (e.g., Google Suite).
+ Strong technical communication skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts concisely and effectively. + Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives, deadlines, and stakeholders. + Demonstrated success in designing and delivering successful training programs, including virtual and in-person formats. + Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams (Engineering, Customer Success, Support, etc.). + Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to track and report on training progress. + Ability to travel up to 25% of the time for on-site training and field evaluations.
The Bay Area salary for this role is $110k-$135k base + pre-IPO stock options + benefits. This position is on-site in Menlo Park, CA. The salary will be adjusted based on the experience of the employee.
