Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Benefits Coordinator for a client in Kalamazoo, MI. This role is ideal for someone with at least 2 years of experience in benefits administration who is passionate about helping employees navigate their benefits options. The Benefits Coordinator will play a key role in supporting HR functions by managing employee benefits programs, answering benefits-related questions, and ensuring compliance with company policies and federal/state regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

•

Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other company offerings.

•

Assist employees with benefit enrollments, changes, and questions.

•

Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with federal and state laws (such as ACA, COBRA, and FMLA).

•

Work closely with insurance providers and vendors to resolve issues.

•

Support open enrollment processes, employee communications, and benefits education initiatives.

•

Process benefits-related documentation and maintain HRIS systems.

•

Assist in leave of absence administration, including disability and FMLA claims.

Qualifications:

•

2+ years of experience in benefits administration or human resources.

•

Knowledge of employee benefits, compliance regulations, and HR best practices.

•

Experience with ADP Workforce Now is preferred.

•

Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.

•

Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.

•

Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).

•

Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
