Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Construction Assistant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the planning, scheduling, budgeting and execution of construction projects. This position requires an understanding of project management and construction. The Construction Assistant will collaborate with the owner, office personnel and construction team to ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and in budget.
Duties
•
Collaborate with owner to create accurate construction estimates and budgets.
•
Oversee construction activities, ensuring adherence to safety standards and quality control measures.
•
Perform site visits to monitor progress and provide technical guidance to construction teams.
•
Oversee contracts and schedules with PM companies.
•
Perform invoicing once the job is complete.
•
Utilize QuickBooks for basic financial tracking and reporting as needed.
•
Engage in effective communication with clients, contractors, and construction crew throughout the project lifecycle.
•
Collaborate with team members to streamline processes and improve overall efficiency.
Requirements
•
Proficiency in project and construction management practices.
•
Strong skills in construction estimating and project budgeting.
•
Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
•
Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while managing multiple tasks effectively.
•
Experience with Google Work Space and QuickBooks.
•
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information responsibly.
