SaskEnergy is seeking a qualified and motivated individual to join our team. The Engineer, Operations Maintenance plans and coordinates the successful execution of SaskEnergy’s operational maintenance programs (including mechanical and electrical assets) in an efficient, transparent, and consistent manner. This role creates workflow driven maintenance processes that streamlines the delivery of SaskEnergy’s reliability centered maintenance strategy.
Position Details
•Non-union - This position is permanent full time.
Key Accountabilities
•Execute SaskEnergy centralized maintenance programs designed to maintain in-service assets by utilizing internal and external resources to keep programs on time and budget.
•Lead centralized maintenance activities such as asset walkdowns, asset criticality, maintenance plan development, condition-based maintenance review, and work execution management best practices.
•Monitor and enforce compliance with SaskEnergy’s reliability centered maintenance standards, procedures, and regulations.
•Perform root cause analysis to investigate, analyze and resolve problems and concerns with in-service SaskEnergy assets by applying engineering principles.
•Lead assigned maintenance projects to improve asset health and reliability, ensuring project requirements are met.
•Develop and deliver technical training and competency assessment for field staff performing maintenance work.
•Identify and provide advice regarding opportunities for improvement with SaskEnergy’s maintenance programs and field processes.
•Implement maintenance data review processes that identify corrective actions, meaningful key performance indicators, targets, and metrics.
•Other related duties as assigned.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
•Degree in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, Electronic, Metallurgical, Chemical, Environment, or Petroleum preferred).
•Professional Engineer Designation registered to practice in Saskatchewan.
•Five (5) years of progressive engineering experience.
•Ability to work on a team while building and maintaining effective relationships.
•Must have a continuing record of professional development and continuous learning.
An Engineer-in-training may also be considered as a path to advance to a Professional Engineer.
A suitable combination of relevant education and experience may also be considered.
Additional Information
•Travel, including overnight stays away from bid headquarters, is required on occasion.
•A Class 5 Driver’s License is required.
