Foran Mining Corporation (TSX:FOM) is a forward-thinking mining company redefining the industry. We are seeking an Environmental Technician to join our growing McIlvenna Bay team. This is a full-time position based at the McIlvenna Bay site working a 14/14 rotation. This is a Temporary position from April to November, with the possibility of extension.

The McIlvenna Bay Cu-Zn-Au-Ag deposit is one of the largest undeveloped VHMS deposits in Canada. Foran recently announced (2024) approval by the Board of Directors for the project to proceed to the formal construction phase with initial production expected in Q4 2025. The McIlvenna Bay deposit’s core commodities are critical for the global transition to green energy and Foran aims to extract these critical minerals in a sustainable manner by empowering local communities, contributing to circular economies and protecting the environment for future generations.

As part of the ESG Team, the Environmental Technician is responsible for supporting environmental management, monitoring and environmental compliance efforts for the McIlvenna Bay Project.

Job Responsibilities:

+ Ensure appropriate supply of equipment, instruments and materials for monitoring including sampling materials/ inventory for safe execution of the environmental monitoring program + Operate, maintain and calibrate environmental monitoring equipment and instruments + Appropriately prepare and submit and track samples for analysis

We offer a competitive salary range of $70,000 - $87,500/year based on experience and qualifications. Please note that this is a temporary position, and the salary will be reflected as such.
